History and archaeology with National Trust Archaeologist Nancy Grace : Hill Forts, Boundaries & Quarries

Would you like a guided tour of the nature reserve and scheduled ancient monument?

Turnworth is a fascinating site, which makes an excellent afternoons informal walking, and at the same time is an excellent educational resource. You can very easily organise a guided tour, funded by Natural England's Environmental Stewardship Scheme, if you have a group of at least 6 people. Walks can give a general introduction and overview, or concentrate on any of a number of subjects, such as :
- wildlife, ecology, conservation and countryside management
- history and archaeology
- beef cattle, suckler herds, and conservation grazing

If you have a group of interested people, or students, and you would like to organise a guided tour, please contact us on 07770 794615 or email.
Please also follow this link to the National Curriculum appraisal of our educational visits.
